US retail giant Amazon is hoping to switch completely to renewable energy by 2025, its Germany branch announced on Thursday. This would make Amazon “the largest-ever operational customer of renewable energies,” according to a statement from its German subsidiary. Renewable energy is to power the online retailer’s shipping and packaging centres, as well as its offices.
