LG is arguably one of the most loyal companies at this show. As a result, the Korean group can this year have its own event within the show itself. Each year, LG unveils a huge amount of new things, and once and for all, the 2021 edition promises to be loaded with innovation for the company. In recent months, rumors surrounding a rollable screen that would be in the works on the LG side have continued to panic the web.

During this LG x CES 2021 mini-event, we got to see some great announcements regarding TVs and other connected devices, but one announcement in particular caught our attention. LG briefly introduced its rollable smartphone, deliberately not dwelling on the subject. This announcement was released at the very end and at the start of the live, to introduce and conclude the show. The device was in the unfolded position in landscape format, and suddenly a small motor rolled up the screen to return the smartphone to its original format. No manual folding, no flap, the screen rolls up on itself mechanically, it was quite impressive to see since we have been talking about this technology for many months without really having had the opportunity to ” attend a demonstration like this.
