Official practice begins for the Extreme E
After carrying out its first technical tests at the Oschersleben circuit in Germany, the firm put its fierce electric buggy to the test during the official tests of the Extreme E at the MotorLand Aragón circuit in Spain, along with seven other teams from the competition.
These first joint wheel turns were carried out in two stages. The teams first carried out fast laps on the circuit in order to test the maximum power of their electric motor, then they were able to ensure the resistance and handling of the vehicles in a racing situation on an off-circuit. road.
For Cupra , it was Mattias Ekström, brand ambassador, and German driver Claudia Hürtgen who pushed the e-Cupra ABT XE1 into its latest developments.

What is Extreme E?
The 2021 Extreme E season will be structured around five events that will take place around the world. The format includes two days of competition, with a qualifying day and the final race between four teams. Each race consists of two laps: a lap performed by a woman and a lap with a man at the wheel. The results of each race will be based on their finish position, not their time.
